How to Get a Cadillac Window Sticker by VIN

Cadillac vehicles often carry a long list of factory options — layered trim tiers, technology packages, distinctive paint programs, and performance configurations that can vary significantly from one vehicle to the next. The factory window sticker or build sheet is the definitive record of what was actually ordered and installed. Here's what those documents contain, how to pull one up, and where to find the VIN on your Cadillac.

What the factory record covers

General Motors encodes every production vehicle's configuration using build option codes. Each code represents a specific factory choice: the engine variant, transmission, rear-axle ratio, exterior paint program, interior material and color, technology package, driver-assistance features, and any equipment that was included or excluded from the standard build. A Cadillac factory record lists all of these codes with plain-language descriptions, giving you a complete picture of how that particular vehicle left the plant.

This document is sometimes called a "broadcast sheet" — the term originally referred to the paper spec sheet that followed a vehicle through the assembly process. On modern GM vehicles, the equivalent information lives in digital records.

Window sticker vs. build sheet — which one you'll get

For Cadillac vehicles built approximately 2020 and later, GM typically has a window-sticker PDF on file: the original Monroney label that was affixed to the vehicle at the dealership, showing all options, the MSRP breakdown, and EPA fuel-economy ratings. For earlier models, the PDF usually isn't available — and the tool returns the build sheet instead, which is a more compact list of option codes and descriptions without pricing or EPA formatting. Both documents are drawn from the same underlying factory record; the window sticker is just a consumer-formatted presentation of that data.

How to retrieve it

All you need is the 17-character VIN. Look up your VIN and the system checks GM's database automatically. Where to find the VIN on your Cadillac

The VIN appears in three standard locations on every Cadillac:
