What an Alfa Romeo build sheet contains

A build sheet is an internal production document, not the retail window sticker. On the factory floor, it guided assembly workers through the exact components required for each individual vehicle. For Alfa Romeo (an FCA/Stellantis brand), equipment is recorded as sales codes — alphanumeric identifiers that map to specific parts and packages. A typical Alfa Romeo build sheet includes:

• VIN, production date, and assembly plant
• Engine designation and gearbox type (including AWD or RWD configuration)
• Exterior paint and interior upholstery codes
• Suspension variant (for example, Alfa DNA with active suspension)
• Factory packages and individual option sales codes (sport brakes, carbon-fiber trim, wheel and tire specs, and similar items)
• Original market designation

On performance trims like Veloce and Quadrifoglio — or collectible models like the 4C — the gap between a base and fully optioned example can be significant. The build sheet is the authoritative record of exactly what left the factory.

Build sheet vs. window sticker

A window sticker is the consumer-facing label required on new vehicles sold in the U.S. It describes features and pricing in plain language. The build sheet is the factory production record that exists independently of the window sticker — more detailed, more technical, and available through the VIN even when the original window sticker has been discarded. Where to find your Alfa Romeo's VIN

Modern Alfa Romeos follow the same three-location standard used across all Stellantis vehicles:

• Base of the windshield, driver's side: From outside the vehicle, look at the lower-left corner of the windshield. The VIN plate is stamped there and visible through the glass without opening any door. On Alfa's sedans and crossovers, which tend toward a lower, more raked roofline, you may need to position yourself slightly in front of the A-pillar to read the plate clearly.
• Driver's door jamb sticker: Open the driver's door and check the door frame. The sticker there lists the VIN alongside tire pressure and load information. On the Stelvio and Tonale crossovers, where the door opening is taller, this sticker is particularly comfortable to read.
• Registration, insurance card, or title: All official ownership documents carry the full 17-character VIN. The practical choice when you need the number without going to the vehicle.

• 4C: The mid-engine sports car (no longer in production, but many examples are on the used market). The windshield plate is the most accessible VIN location — the 4C's tight door aperture and composite construction make the door jamb sticker harder to reach than on a conventional car.
